Hometown: Grew up in Pasadena Area (La Cañada), CA, but now, Newps is my hometown.
Favorite Hobby: Pilates
Secret Talent: I love to build things! I am a wall finishings enthusiast, I enjoy working with wood, paint, metal, tile, plaster, pretty much anything you can do to a wall, I am into.
Your go to Pilates Move: Reverse wheelbarrow. Classic me, and usually how I love to start class.
Favorite place to relax: Coffee Klatching after pilates. My closest peeps and I always work out first class of the day, then have 45 minutes to ourselves to converse and enjoy the morning before the sun rises. To me, it is like free time while everyone else is asleep!
Favorite indulgence: Dessert, however, I am not a huge chocolate fan and I do not like desserts that are excessively sweet. Instead, I prefer desserts with nuts, fruits, and usually, some kind of whipped cream or ice cream. Yum. I need to do pilates so I can keep up my love of dessert!
What can you not leave home without: My lucky gold necklace. When I was 18, I called KIIS FM in my first attempt ever at winning something on-air. Amazingly, I was caller 102, and won the gold Me&Ro necklace! I definitely was speechless, so much so, Ryan Seacrest told me I was the least enthusiastic caller, ever. I am not one for screeching into the telephone. I still have it all these years later, although I have gone through a few different chains, but the gold pendant remains the same.
3 things to know about you:
- I am definitely a work-aholic. You could also substitute work-out-aholic and it would be the same. I love to stay busy and I seriously hate sitting down.
- I throw parties everyday and hope people show up. At least, that’s what my husband and I say owning a restaurant is like! My husband, Noah, and I have three restaurants in Costa Mesa; Arc Food & Libations, Arc Pizza House and The Guild Club. We are currently in the process of opening our 4th endeavor, Arc Butcher & Baker, on the Newport Peninsula, opening April 2018!
- I really love my family! My whole family moved here from the Los Angeles Area when my husband and I opened our restaurants (I told them I was never moving back to LA). My parents are my best friends besides my husband and my brother, so when I decided that Newport was home, everyone heard the call! We all really like hanging out 🙂
